Welcome to the Department of Accounting. The Department of Accounting is pursuing an ambitious programme of development on both the research and teaching fronts. At the core of this programme
will remain our outstanding interdisciplinary research environment, our close links with practitioner and professional communities, together with our deservedly renowned existing teaching programme:
Bachelor’s in Accounting. We will be providing important inputs to a range of innovative new research and development in the field of Accounting. The scale, scope and quality of our
offerings are marvelous. 

On the faculty front, we have very recently made a significant number of exciting new appointments to complement our existing strengths, and we plan to add to these in the near future.
We aim to provide our students with wide exposures to the global business environment and to nurture their ability to adapt to rapidly changing industry demands. We will be maintaining the highest
standard of education, research and development. Research and teaching in Accounting cover  fields of management accounting, financial accounting, cost accounting and auditing. By leveraging these
strengths and intellectual traditions, the Department of Accounting is uniquely positioned to further enhance its reputation, yet uncompromisingly academic teaching, research and policy advice.
Our goal is to inculcate life-long learning amongst our students. The department provides high level technical training in Accounting and the ability to apply the technical training in current business
environments. The department, therefore, expects the students to work hard, read widely, and to engage in substantial self-learning.
